Secretary District Legal Service Authorities to hold Jail Lok Adalats

Chandigarh, November 14, 2014: Punjab and Haryana High Court has conferred the powers of Special Judicial Magistrate (First Class) to Secretary District Legal Service Authorities for holding Jail Lok Adalats/Camp Courts in the Jails of Punjab for a period of one year. A notification in this regard has been issued.

Disclosing this a spokesman said that Acting Chief Justice and Judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court have conferred upon the members of P.C.S. (JB) working as Secretary District Legal Service Authorities, all the powers of Special Judicial Magistrate (First Class) for holding Jail Lok Adalats/Camp Courts in all Jails of the State for a period of one year retrospectively with effect from the date they started holding such Jail Lok Adalats/Camp Courts in the Jails.

He further said that Territorial Jurisdiction of Sh. Arun Kumar Aggarwal would be Amritsar and Sh. Varun Nagpal has conferred powers of Special Judicial Magistrate (First Class) for holding Jail Lok Adalats/Camp Courts for Tarn Taran.

Similarly Tripat Jot Kaur for Barnala, Jasbir Kaur for Bathinda, Archana Kamboj for Faridkot, Gurpartap Singh for Fatehgarh Sahib, Madan Lal for Ferozepur, Vikrant Kumar for Fazilka, Gurnam Singh Dhillon for Gurdaspur, Rashmi Sharma for Hoshiarpur, Rana Kanwar Deep Kaur for Jalandhar, Manila Chugh for Kapurthala, Krishan Kumar Singla for Ludhiana, Amandeep Kaur Mansa, Neetika Verma  Moga, Aashish Abrol Pathankot, Kapil Aggarwal for Patiala, Dr. Gopal Arora for Rupnagar,   Tarn Taran Singh Bindra for Mohali, Mohit Bansal for Sangrur, Shikha Goel for SBS Nagar and Daljit Singh Ralhan has conferred powers of Special Judicial Magistrate (First Class) for holding Jail Lok Adalats/Camp Courts for Sri Muktsar Sahib.
