Ludhiana, October 28, 2014: 12 students of PCTE B- School from both PGDM -1 and PGDM -2 returned from study tour to University of Westminster, UK under cultural and academic exchange programme. Fortnight ago 8 students of PGDM-1(one), had also visited University of Angers, France a week of active exchange with 168 students from Germany, USA, Poland, France and China during the international week.
Prof. Kapil Prashar accompanying the students said that it was great learning experience for all the students in understanding diversity and culture, heritage of different countries etc, In the tour students visited Brand and Packaging Museum at UK where they learnt evolution of various brands and their packaging styles since 1900 till date. Students also participated in many lectures series on leadership, culture, Fashion designing, packaging, etc with foreign students and faculty.
Earlier Faculty from University of Westminster Dr. Katlin Illes visited PCTE in January this year. This was the First exchange program in which students from PCTE visited University of Westminster, UK.
“I am thankful to PCTE B-School for providing me such an amazing opportunity of global exposure and learning. I look forward huge learning in terms of French culture and different study environment during this visit” said Brinda Bhutani student PGDM, PCTE B- School.
Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said that t was a life time experience for the students and faculty to get International first hand exposure and information about the European markets. Dr Kang said that PCTE has thirteen International MOU signed with leading institutes in France, Poland, Lithuania, UK, Romania, Africa , Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. He further added that there are more than 230 students from 28 countries studying at PCTE. Dr Kang said that today’s business is global business and it is very important that faculty and students must have global orientations to face the challenges of complex global business environment.
