SDO PSPCL caught red handed accepting bribe

Chandigarh, August 29, 2014: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau today nabbed a SDO, PSPCL red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 8000.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that SDO Harpreet Singh posted at PSPCL office Rajpura was nabbed on the complaint of Parmjit Singh resident of Rajpura, District Patiala. The complainant in his complaint has alleged that SDO was demanding bribe of Rs.8000 for curtailing the amount of penalty of Rs. 54,000, which was imposed on him for his domestic electricity connection.
Acting on the tip off, vigilance party led by SI Pritpal Singh arrested the accused SDO Harpreet Singh accepting the bribe of Rs. 8,000 from the complainant.
