Scintillating Performance by RGC

Ludhiana, October 31, 2014: The students of Ramgarhia Girls College did the institution proud by clinching a number of prizes at the Inter-Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival held at DAV College, Sector-10, Chandigarh, from October 28 to 31.

After having won overall trophy in the Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival (Zone-B), the students again gave an excellent performance at the Inter-Zonal level. They participated in eleven categories and bagged eight prizes. First prize was won in two categories, namely, Pakhi Designing and Kali. Anureet Kaur secured second prize in Classical Vocal and Jasleen Kaur also got second prize in Kali (Individual). Third prize was bagged by Navroop Kaur in Non-Percussion, Manmeet Kaur in Kali (Individual) and Kulwant Kaur in Knitting.

Principal, (Dr) Narinder Sandhu congratulated the students and the faculty members on the remarkable performance in the festival. She stated that it was a very tough competition as the best of all the zones had participated and scooping various prizes is indeed an achievement.

Ranjodh Singh, President and Jagtar Singh, Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council also appreciated the performance of the participants and added that reaching this level is an achievement in itself and it provides the students with an opportunity to not only exhibit their creativity and talent but also learn from the superlative performers.
