Schoolgirls of 108 schools in Kangra district getting training for self-defence by police

Dharamshala, January 20, 2018: As the crime against women is on rise in the society, the Kangra police has taken up the challenge to train schoolgirls in self defense. Speaking to this reporter, the SP Kangra, Santosh Patial said in Dharamshala on Saturday, “The district police have provided its trained coaches to teach self defense techniques to the girl students of 108 senior secondary/high schools for 10 days ,so that the girls could feel confident to safe them self.” He said that beside girls the boys’ students of these schools are also being trained simultaneously. The students shall also be made aware of the bad effects of the drugs addictions, and that how they can save them self from this bad habit.
Patial said, “They are all being made well aware of the issues.”
The youth are also being educated that how the citizens could get police assistance in a fast manner.
