School section of GKU organises Essay Competition

Talwandi Sabo, October 28, 2014: School section of Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo organised an essay competition. The theme of the Essay Writing was Eco friendly Environment. Dr A.K Kansal, Dean Basic Sciences, GKU was the Chief Guest. Prof. Jagwinder Singh Sidhu, Principal of the School said that around 50 students from Non Medical, Commerce and Arts stream participated in this competition. Chief Guest Dr. Kansal said that such competitions develop writing skills among the students along with positive Impact on the minds of the students related to the theme, this skill also help them in their higher studies, rather in every sphere of life, he added. He also motivated the students for Eco friendly Environment. Madam Amarjot Kaur was the activity in-charge and Prof. Shingara Singh contributed praiseworthy efforts for successful completion of the event.
On the basis of drastic writing skills and content related to the theme Pawandeep Kaur, Jagroop Singh & Amritpal Singh declared 1st, 2nd & 3rd respectively. Chief Guest and other staff members distributed prizes among the winners.
Principal Sidhu said that such activities along with the academic schedule develop over all personality of the students.
