School for the Deaf Children celebrate founder’s day and  annual  function
Ludhiana, November 24, 2018: School for the Deaf Children, Hambran Road, Ludhiana celebrated the founder’s day and annual function of the school on Saturday. As many as 75 students participated in 7 cultural items. Mrs& Mr.Subhash Lakra, Managing Director, S.K.Bikes (P) Ltd, Ludhiana was chief guest. He donated Rs.1 lakh to school. The function was presided over by the president of the Ludhiana Educational Society Mr.Sukhpat Rai Wadhera, senior advocate, dr.mrs. Suneila Dada, Academic Advisor of the society welcomed and introduced the chief guest. Mr.Premod Dada, Hony.General Secretary of the school and the society read out the annual report of the school. He gave a brief description of the activities of the school. He said every effort is being made to read the psychology of these specially-abled children. “I proudly inform the annual examination result of class X &class XII of Punjab School Education Board, as against 68% overall result of PSEB, our result was 100%. As many as 9 students appeared in class X & 15 students appeared in class XII. The new method of teaching through hearing aids in all classes from the Nursery class to the XII class is a great success. The system includes teaching via loop induction and speech trainers. Simranjot Kaur was adjudged as the student of the year. Simarjit was adjudged as the best student. The cultural dances were performed by the students of the school. These included ganesh vandana, hawa-hawai, ghoomar, bam bam bole, jai hind, giddha and bhangra. The function was attended by old students of the school and they were honoured by the chief guest. A vote of thanks was proposed by Mr.Inderjit Chopra- the senior vice president of the society.
