SAHODAYA FEST ORGANIZED INTER SCHOOL SHABAD GAYAN COMPETITION IN St. GDS CONVENT SCHOOL

Ludhiana, October 11, 2018: Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex (West) organized inter school Shabad Gayan competition in St.GDS Convent School on Wednesday. The school music team welcomed the judges and the guests by singing a shabad. Theme of Shabad Gayan Competition was 'Sukh Vele Shukrana ,Dukh Vele Ardas ,Har vele Simran'. Twenty one schools from West zone participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm. S.Amarjeet Singh from D.D.Jain College of Education, Ms.Aarzoo from D.D.Jain Memorial College for Women and Ms.Sarabjeet Kaur from Ramgarhia College for Women judged the Shabad Gayan Competition .
Ms.Amandeep Kaur Bakshi, the Principal of Eastwood International School, Raikot Road, Mullanpur acted as the observer on the behalf of LSSC (West). Different partiticipants recited the Shabads which were composed in different ragas in a soulful manner. In Junior Category, Team Baba Ishar singh School won the first prize, Team Guru Hargobind Public Senior Secondary School won the Second prize,and Team Amrit Indo Canadian Academy won the third prize. Similarly in Senior category, Amrit Indo Canadian Academy won the first prize, Team Baba Ishar Singh Baba kundan Singh School won the Second prize,and Team Atam Devki Niketan Senior Secondary School won the third prize in this competition. At the end of the Shabad Gayan Competition , the GDS music team recited path Anand Sahib Ji which was followed by Aardaas. The School's Managing Director S. Manmohon Singh and Mrs. Upasana Gautam the Principal of St. GDS convent School honoured the guests by giving them mementos and plants. They encouraged the participants and congratulated the winning teams . They also thanked Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex (West) for giving this honour of organizing this event on their behalf.
