Safety Training Programme on General Engineering organized in Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala
Kapurthala, March 16, 2019: One day Safety Training Programme on General Engineering was organized jointly by Director of Factories, Punjab, Chandigarh, Punjab Industrial Safety Council, Chandigarh and Technical Training Centre/RCF at RCF, Kapurthala. In this training programme 60 supervisors and technicians of RCF participated. Sh.C.S.Lamba, Dy.CME/M welcomed Sh.R K Mangla , Principalk Chief Mechanical Engineer & Occupier, Shri Jitendra Singh Chief Plant Engineer & Factory Manager, Shri Gurjent Singh, Assistant Director of Factories, Phagwara and other Senoir Officers and Participants. During his address , Sh.R K Mangla , Principalk Chief Mechanical Engineer asked to strictly follow the safety rules while at work. He appreciated the effort of all the staff, supervisors, officers of RCF and also officials of Director of Factories for getting First Prize in Punjab State Safety Awards-2018 for the second time in row. He appreciated the initiatives taken by RCF management in holding programme on safety every year and also providing safe working environment to one and all. Shri Jitendra Singh , Factory Manager & Chief Plant Engineer emphasized in his speech that the staff of RCF should follow the all safety procedures, safety techniques and the use of personal protective equipments at workplace. During the programme, the lectures were delivered by experts of Industrial safety: First-aid Lecture by Shri Somraj/Gold Medalist in First Aid, Welding safety by Shri Balkar Singh, CI/TTC, Electrical Safety by Shri G.P. Singh, CI/TTC and Fire Safety by Shri Manoj Mehta, CSO/RCF. Shri Gurjant Singh, Asst. Director of Factories, Phagwara, stated that safety is a collective responsibility and everyone should be aware of safety at work place and in all forms of life. He stated that now-a-days, Road safety is a burning issue as maximum causalities occur during road accidents and these can be curtailed by wearing helmet while driving two wheeler and wearing seat belt while driving four wheeler. During the Valedictory session, Shri Jitendra Singh , Factory Manager & Chief Plant Engineer, Shri Gurjent Singh, ADF/Phagwara and Sh. C.S. Lamba, Dy.CME(M) issued the certificates to all participants. During his vote of thanks Shri Narender Kumar, WM/Monitoring stressed that team work and the safe system can only be maintained by the collective efforts as well as co-ordination of all.
