Sadhbawna Day being observed at AIMTC, Jalandhar on Friday.
Jalandhar, August 21, 2015: The Literary and Dramatics Club of Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus organised Sadhbawna Day. It was organised to promote National Integration and communal harmony among people of all religions, languages. Goodwill towards everyone and eschewing violence are the motto of the "Sadbhavana Diwas". Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of the institute administered the Sadhbawna Day pledge to the students. The students took the pledge saying that they would work towards being one, national harmony regardless of caste, religion, region and language and would also resolve all differences through dialogue without resorting to violence.
Tree saplings were planted as a part of the observance. The students also delivered talks on the theme of National Integration. Some students also recited poems on the theme of communal harmony.
Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director addressed the students and highlighted the importance of celebrating Sadhbawna Diwas. Dr. Bagga said in the present times, where we witness conflicts on account of discrimination on the basis of caste, colour, religion, community, it is imperative that youth be educated and given the responsibility to eradicate such discriminations from society.
