Sacrifice of Shaheed-E-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev commemorated

Ferozepur, March 19, 2016: To commemorate the great sacrifice of Shaheed-E-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Ji, Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Rajguru Sukhdev Memorial Society jointly organized “Shaheedi Diwas”. Various patriotic events like Choreography on Life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Lecture by Dr Satinder Singh National Awardee; Act on “Azadi Di Rooh - Jallian Wala Bag”; Prfessional Play “Hoian Te Anhonian” on Women Feticide by Aks Art Rang Manch, Guruharsahai; Professional Play on “Ik See Jalpari” on Women Feticide by Aks Rang Manch, Samrala were performed during this Patriotic Evening.

This Diwas Shaheed Diwas was inaugurated by Lightening Ceremony by Dr Tejinder Singh Sidhu (Campus Director); Dr A K Tyagi (Associate Director); S. Jaswinder Singh Sandhu (President of Memorial Society); Dr Satinder Singh National Awardee; Er. Sukhchain Singh Layalpuri; Mr Munish Kumar and Mrs Navdeep Kaur.

The Play prepared by Ms Navdeep Kaur entitled “Azadi Di Rooh - Jallian Wala Bag” was based on theme of how mass massacre on 13 April, 1919 at Jallianwala Bagh during 'Baisakhi' gave new dimension to struggle for Independence. Student of second year BCA Arpit and Muddasar of B Tech CSE discipline sung many patriotic songs.

The Choreography on Life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh portrayed the scenes of his life during imprisonment. Dr Satinder Singh while delivering talk on Shaheed Bhagat Singh gave many references on Life of great Legend. He said that Shaheed Bhagat Singh is still alive among us and fighting against social evils. He stressed on need of building Library where Literature on Shaheed Bhagat Singh is readily available.

Two professional plays on “Hoian Te Anhonian” on Women Feticide by Aks Art Rang Manch, Guruharsahai and second professional play on “Ik See Jalpari” on Women Feticide by Aks Rang Manch, Samrala displayed the greatest evil of society against women feticide.

Sardar Jaswinder Singh Sandhu, President of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Rajguru Sukhdev Memorial Society told gathering that people are forgetting the Thoughts, Philosophy and beliefs of Great Martyr and son of soil Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh. He urged youth to take oath for spreading message of Shaheed Bhagat Singh; Rajguru and Sukhdev among every nook and corner of Society, so that new Generation must tread on path of our Great martyr who have sacrificed their life for our Freedom Movement.

Dr T S Sidhu Campus Director, praised the efforts of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Rajguru Sukhdev Memorial Society in spreading the thoughts and Philosophy of our hallowed Martyrs who gave new dimension to Independence Movement against British Rule by sacrificing their precious life. He also praised the efforts of Prof Gazal Preet Singh, Principal Poly Wing and Dean Sports and Cultural Affairs for successfully organizing this gala event.

Prof Gazal Preet Singh, Principal Poly Wing and Dean Sports and Cultural Affairs specially thanked the efforts of Prof Munish Dhir; Ms Navdeep Kaur; Prof Amit Arora; Prof Sunil Behal; Prof Rahul Chopra and Sh. Gurpreet Singh for making various arraignments and successfully organizing of this Patriotic Function.
