Rupali bags first position in sitar playing competition
The event was organized at district level at Government Model Senior Secondary School Jalandhar: The students of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (KMV) not only excels in the field of academics, but also in the co-curricular activities. Adding one more feather to its cap, a student of KMV Collegiate Senior Secondary School named Rupali (10+2) bagged first position in the Sitar Playing competition organized at district level at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar. The competition was organized by the Department of School Education, Punjab under the aegis of Samagar Shiksha Abhiyaan. In the series of competition, Rupali also bagged the first position in a state level competition named Kala Utsav organized at Punjab School Education Board, Mohali. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated Rupali on this outstanding achievement & stressed upon the need of such programmes which extend learning beyond class rooms and provide platform to the students to explore as well as showcase their talent. She reiterated the institution’s commitment to make consistent efforts for personality development of each student through development of right skills and holistic education. She also threw light on the need of good communication skills, confidence and presence of mind while one performs on the stage. She also lauded the efforts of department of Music for this brilliant achievement.
