Rubina Bajwa & Harish Verma donates blood in a camp organised at CT Group

Jalandhar, July 9, 2019: One can almost say that blood is that magic potion which gives life to another person. Requirement of safe blood is increasing and regular voluntary blood donations are vital for blood transfusion services. With this noble cause of spreading awareness about donating blood among general masses, CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CTIPS) and Neeru Bajwa Entertainment organized a Blood Donation Camp under the guidance & supervision of Civil Hospital at CT Campus Shahpur. The camp was inaugurated by a renowned Pollywood actress Rubina Bajwa and actor Harish Verma accompanied by Manbir Singh Managing Director of CT Group, Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson, Dr. G S Kalra, Campus Director & other officials of CT Group of Institutions. On this occasion Rubina Bajwa & Harish Verma were prominently present to encourage the blood donors, during their promotional visit of their upcoming movie Munda Hi Chaida. While donating the blood Rubina Bajwa said, “I was quite nervous initially as it was my first time to donate blood but now I am happy to donate it and feeling proud. In future also, I shall support more such programmes as I personally feel that we should serve the humanity.” After the inauguration of the camp, Principal CTIPS Dr. S.P. Gautam guided the gathering about the value of the units of blood & how we can save the lives of people who are in the dire need of blood. During the camp, more than 100 persons comprising of students, staff & faculty members queued up to donate blood on priority. A contingent of 10 team members comprising of doctors and technicians, under the guidance of Dr. Gagandeep Singh, In-charge, Blood Bank at Civil Hospital visited the campus to streamline this noble cause. Sharing the views Manbir Singh, Managing Director said, “Health and education are the two pillars, on which the economic and social growth of any country is based. We have organized various health awareness camps & campaign like cancer awareness campaign, Awareness camp on heart care etc.”
