Railway Under Bridge (RUB) at busy Lodhi club road connecting Pakhowal and Ferozepur road is waiting for a big tragedy/accident/jam since Diwali days as Height Barrier as shown in photograph is no more existing after an accident .
The concerned department has neither removed structure nor installed it yet to avoid further accidents which may be as bad as like Doraha gas leak tragedy due to insufficient height below bridge. One more thing to be enquired is that what is the use of 300 feet bye-pass/ring road if height restriction is there in RUB ( why ROB was not designed?)
The existing width and height of RUB road is big question as compared to 300 feet wide road/space outside RUB. Even in upcoming Shastri Nagar crossings it must be preferably ROB than RUB if height/width restrictions will be there.
Nobody (Govt Deptt) cares about road safety/designing although all concerned pass through same roads daily.
Smart City targets can be achieved if we work more towards our past & present mistakes not only towards future expectations. Smart city targets can be achieved after proper working/planning/implementations etc and not merely with meetings and publicity.
Smart city planning is work of town planners/architects not politicians/others.
