Anti-Narcotics Cell Ludhiana in-charge, Harbans Singh gives information about the recovery of Rs.50 lakh heroin from an accused identified as Avtar Singh alias Gola.
Ludhiana, May 7, 2014: Police have recovered Rs.50 lakh heroin from Avtar Singh alias Gola. Anti-Narcotics Cell Ludhiana in-charge, Harbans Singh told the media persons that the accused was asked to stop at a naka laid near T-Point, Village Jagirpur.
On checking, the recovery of 100 gram of heroin was made from possession of the accused.
The value of recovered narcotics is worth around Rs.50 lakh in the international market.
A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Meharban Police Station.
Further police investigation is in progress.
