Rs.26,99,455 cash seized in Himachal on Wednesday

Dharamshala, November 1, 2017: A spokesman of State Election Department in Himachal,said here today that Police has seized 805 liter of English Liquor, 5,033 liter of country liquor, 376 liter IMFL, 676 liter beer and 64 liter Lahan.
Different teams seized Rs.26,99,455 cash in total at various places in the state, which includes Rs.1,39,455 seized by flying squads, Rs.16,00,000 by static team, Rs.2,31,000 by Police and Rs.7,29,000 by Income Tax Department.
Police teams also seized 761 gram Charas and 23 gram Poppy Husk. In addition to this, 151 matters related to clarifications and permissions were received in the office, out of which 34 were disposed off.
