Ludhiana, October 6, 2018: Departments of Mathematics and Sciences of Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana organize an Inter-School Declamation and Open Forum today in the college auditorium. In this contest, 27 students of 9 schools took part. “Decreasing inclination towards science education”, “Meaning of Holistic education” etc were the topics of the day. The contest witnessed a neck and neck struggle among the participants. The day was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr.Tarsem Bahia, Former Principal, A.S.College, Khanna and now a member of Child Welfare Committee, Guest of Honour Mr. Vijay Kumar Dhall, M.D., Emson Process Industries, S. Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council accompanied by Principal Dr. Inderjit Kaur. The competition was judged by Dr. Surjit Singh and Prof. Bhupinder Singh, retired Profs., of SCD Govt. College. Quiz on wide range of topics was also organized for the audience. Principal Dr. Inderjit Kaur appreciated the efforts of the students and said that the programme was organized to build confidence and hone oratory skills among students. S. Ranjodh Singh boosted the morale of the students by advising them to participate in such type of activities as these activities are helpful in building confidence and improve their communication skills. The day came to an end with prize distributing ceremony. Jasmeet Kaur of R.S Model Sr. Sec. School bagged 1st position , Vanshika Balli of Ryan International School and Prerna of R.S Model Sr. Sec. School got 2nd positions, Tanya of Govt. School, Bharat Nagar Chowk and Shiny George of Ryan International School clinched 3rd positions respectively. Organising secretary Ms. Jyoti Verma Head of Mathematics Dept. gave vote of thanks. S. Gurcharan Singh Lotey, General Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council gave best wishes to the students.
