Results of 70th senior national basketball championship

Ludhiana: The knockout stages of the quarter final stages have arrived at the 70th Senior  National Basketball Championship taking place at Guru Nanak Dev Stadium in Ludhiana .
In the first Quarter final of the day in women Madhya Pradesh women after leading 27-22 at the half time came on to beat Delhi 64-59 with captain Nima Doma again the top scorer for Madhya Pradesh with 27 points and Aparna Sani scored for Rajasthan with 18 point .They now will take on the winners of Indian Railway and Karnataka in the Semi Final
In men first quarter final in Men 2nd of the day Karnataka which had an 27-9 start at the first quarter  but second quarter saw railway coming in the grip with some good long rangers from Sahil and lead 48-41 at the lemon time   beat Karnataka with the score 93-78. Sahil came up with 23 points and  and Lovnett singh scoring  22 points for railways for  Karnataka bulk of the scoring was done by Harish M who scored 26 points
The third Quarter final of the day was in  women host Punjab taking on Telengana . which was an closely fought match where Punjab anchored by Young Internationals Harismaran kaur and Anmol Preet Kaur with Rajandeep Kaur supporting them came on to beat Telengana 72-65 to make the berth in the Semi Final and will take on the winners of Kerala and Maharashtra in the Semi Final , Harismaran was the top scorer for Punjab with 23 points followed by AmolPreet and Rajandeep scoring 18 each for Telengana Gulabasha Ali was the leading scorer with 23 points and Divya made 20  
The early morning session witnessed pre-quarterfinal matchups with teams battling it out for a berth in the quarterfinals
In Men pre quarter final Kerala boys  dominated their game against Uttar Pradesh defeating them 81-54, led by Basil Philip 18 points, to set up a quarterfinal clash against Punjab Men .
In the second Men Pre Quarter final Haryana scrape past Chandigarh 87-85 after trailing 34-44 at the half time Vikas Kumar played the captains role as he contributes 31 points for his team for the victory and for Chandigarh Ravi Bardhwj made 36 points  Haryana now will face Tamil Nadu in the quarter finals
Karnataka women were the first team to advance to the quarterfinals defeating the Rajasthan girls by (54-47). Karnataka women  will now face the strong Indian Railway team in the quarterfinals today evening. The Maharashtra women also booked a spot in the quarterfinals with a 94-67  victory over Chandigarh  Maharashtra  relied on multiple players to clinch the  victory. Maharashtra  will face Kerala  in their quarterfinal matchup later in the evening.

Yesterday evening, on the last  two  of the league stage games took place between the level 1. Tamil Nadu men  defeated Services 63-58 to top the group  similarly Punjab men had any difficulty in beating Uttarkhand 73-25 to top grouppA
