RESULTS: Jagdeep Singh Grewal and Sukhdeep Singh Malhi declared winners of `Ambuja Big Panjaa’ league

Amritsar, January 18, 2013: 92.7 BIG FM, India’s No.1 FM radio network and winner of the Golden Mikes Broadcaster of the Year Award today announced the winners of ‘Ambuja BIG Panjaa League’. At a glittering final held on Sunday night at Alpha One Mall Amritsar Jagdeep Singh Grewal and Sukhdeep Singh Malhi were declared winners of `Ambuja Big Panjaa’ League.

While Jagdeep Singh Grewal won in the above 70 kgs category, Sukhdeep Singh Malhi won in the below 70 kgs category.

The winners got Rs 51,000 each as a cash prize.

Sixteen finalists have been selected in month long on-ground contests held across the Majha region of Punjab.

 Local on-ground competitions were held via specially designed vans in Amritsar, Gursdaspur, Pathankot, Batala, Patti, Taran Taran and Firozpur Cantt; and also local gyms and akhadas, colleges and many more locations in the region. With entries open to the general public, this display of hardcore athleticism had contestants facing-off in two categories – Lightweight championship for contestants below 70kgs and the Heavyweight championship for those above 70kgs in weight.
