Research is the backbone of development: Dr Bhanu

Dharamshala, July 9, 2018: “Research is the backbone of development”. This was stated by the Principal Dr.RP Government Medical College, Tanda Dr.Bhanu Awasthi while inaugurating a three day research methodology workshop at Tanda.
Dr.RP Government Medical College, Tanda in collaboration with Indian Council of Medical Research is organizing a three day research methodology workshop from 9th to 11th July 2018. The workshop was preceded by a sensitization for undergraduate medical students by resource faculty from PGI Chandigarh on 8th of July 2018.
Dr Awasthi said that the focus of this research methodology workshop is on mentoring young and mid level faculty of the medical college in research. “Apart from resource faculty from Tanda, resource faculty has also been invited from PGIMER Chandigarh and AIIMS New Delhi,” addred Dr Bhanu.
He said that in addition to participants from the medical college, participants from central university of Himachal Pradesh and the directorate of health services have also registered for the workshop. All in all about 20 research proposals focusing on the health care needs of Himachal Pradesh will be discussed and finalized during the workshop.
