Chandigarh, August 6, 2013: The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today strongly condemned the unprovoked killing of five Indian soldiers on Indo-Pak border in Punch sector and said that these repeated provocations are result of weak kneed policy of appeasement followed by Congress led UPA government.
In a statement issued here today, the Deputy Chief Minister said that it was matter of great surprise that a tiny neighbour like Pakistan had guts to enter into our territory, kill our soldiers, exposing the impotency of Congress led UPA government, governing the country. He said that Pakistan and China have understood the fact that India had no guts to react even after heinous acts of attack on India’s sovereignty during 26/11 in Mumbai, beheading of soldiers on Indo-Pak border and they have now exposed the helplessness of India in international diplomatic fora. He said that Congress led UPA government has made mockery of largest democracy by failing to discharge its primary duty to protest the frontiers of the nation and it has no right to govern the country. He described symbolic condemnation by 10 Janpath as gesture of playing to gallery and said that people of India expect action not symbolic reactions from the ruling party.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that lakhs of our soldiers are guarding our frontiers day and night putting their life in danger and it was matter of shame for all of us that ruling party was taking their unprovoked killings by Pak lightly. He said that Prime Minister should rise to the occasion and show to the Pak that it cannot take the unity and integrity of country for granted and PM should take some belated but decisive action to stop this repeated nonsense.
