Regional workshop of All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) conducted at Panjab University

Chandigarh, June 8, 2018: A regional workshop of All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) was conducted today at Panjab University. The University and State Nodal Officers and other officials of Higher Education from 6 states participated in this workshop.

Prof.Arun Kumar Grover, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University was the chief guest.

Director MHRD Shri Raj Kumar, Deputy Director MHRD Shri Amit Kamal, Prof.Archana Bhatnagar Associate director IQAC, Shri Guldeep Singh University Nodal Officer for AISHE were present on the dais.

In the workshop Shri Raj Kumar and Shri Amit Kamal described the advantages of AISHE and its major findings were also explained. The data from this portal is used by the policy makers and to frame the reply of the parliament questions. The data is also used in the Know Your College (KYC) portal and Gurujan Portal.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Arun Kumar Grover emphasised that the exercise of AISHE as a national agenda is extremely important for the country.

In the technical session, interaction was held with the participants and the problems of data uploading on the AISHE portal were discussed. A training session on PFMS was also conducted.
