Chandigarh, February 17, 2016: In a bid to boost Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, besides ensuring the implementation of various schemes of the Government of India in true spirit, the Ministry of Ministry of Micro and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in coordination with Northern States and Union Territory is organizing one day conclave here at Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) on 19th Feb., 2016.
Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the Ministry of Micro and Medium Enterprises said that during this Conclave the Union Minister (MSME), Govt. of India, Chief Ministers of Punjab & Haryana, Ministers for MSME of participating States/Union Territory, Secretary (MSME), AS&DC (MSME) Govt. Of India, Principal Secretary and Commissioner/Director of Industries of the participating states would interact to present their view points for the effective implementation of Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) like setting up of Tool Room, scheme for Skill Development of MSMEs, filling of Udyog Adhar Memorandum, MSE-Cluster Development Programme, Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI), a scheme for Promoting Innovation and Rural Entrepreneurship (ASPIRE), MSME Facilitation Council in addition to other issues. These schemes need immediate attention in promotion & development of MSMEs in these States, added the spokesperson.
He further informed that during afternoon session, the Minister (MSME), Secretary (MSME), AS&DC (MSME) would meet head of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSE) located/working in these States to review the progress and compliance of Public Procurement Policy of Govt. of India Ministry of MSME. He also clarified that from 1st April 2015 all CPSEs has to mandatorily purchase min. 20% of their requirement from Micro and small enterprises.
The spokesperson said that Minister (MSME), Secretary (MSME) and AS&DC (MSME) along with Senior officers of the Ministry would also meet and discuss various issues with MSME industry associations of participating states/U.T. to resolve various problems being faced by MSME in their states.
