RECENT RAINS boon for wheat crop

Ferozepur, February 5, 2013: No doubt the routine life of a common man is disrupted due to heavy rains but at the same time, the heavy rains now are said to be a boon for the wheat crop.

The different farmers of the area, Amarjit Singh, Monu, Girdhar when contacted said, the recent rains on the standing wheat crop would serve the purpose of irrigation and boon in increasing the yield as after few days the immature grains would blossom.

They further said that the rain at this time also substitute the use of urea fertilizer. 

They however demanded the regular supply of electricity in the coming days for proper and regular irrigation of crops.
