Chandigarh, January 19, 2016: RattanIndia Solar through its company Yarrow Infrastructure Limited, a part of the RattanIndia group has won solar project of 70 MW capacity at a tariffs of Rs 4.36/kWh in reverse e-auction conducted by National Thermal Power Limited (NTPC) on 18th January 2016. With current win, RattanIndia’s solar portfolio has increased to more than 200 MW which is spread across the country.  The online reverse bidding for 6 projects with combined capacity of 420 MW that started yesterday afternoon ended up at the wee hours today morning. These bids witnessed aggressive bidding since Rajasthan has the best solar isolation in the country. RattanIndia was also the second lowest bidder for 900 MW of NTPC solar projects in Andhra Pradesh. The company had earlier won 10 MW of grid connected solar rooftop projects that will be implemented on CPWD buildings in Delhi and West Bengal which includes important government buildings like Krishi Bhawan and The Supreme Court of India. It is also implementing rooftop solar projects on more than 80 Government buildings in cities of Bhopal, Jabalpur and Indore in Madhya Pradesh.
“RattanIndia is a leading group in the renewable energy and is committed to supply green energy at affordable cost. We already have more than 200 MW of solar projects in the pipeline. Central Government has set a target of 100 GW of solar power generation by 2020 along with bringing in grid parity and we are fully committed and contributing towards achieving this ambitious goal. Rajasthan bids have achieved the lowest tariff due to higher CUF and lower land costs. This project will make our solar business leapfrog to next level as we continue our journey towards becoming a very large solar company”, said Mrs. Anjali Rattan Nashier, CEO of RattanIndia Solar.
