Ramgarhia Girls College organises its Annual Convocation and Prize Distribution Function

Ludhiana, April 19, 2019: Ramgarhia Girls College organised its Annual Convocation and Prize Distribution Function wherein degrees were conferred on the students who had passed out in the academic session 2017-18 and prizes were given away to the students who had excelled in academics, sports and cultural activities during the session 2018-19.
Prof. Dr.B.S.Ghuman Vice-Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala presided over the event as Chief Guest. College Principal, Dr (Mrs.) Inderjit Kaur, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, S. Ranjodh Singh and General Secretary, S. Gurcharan Singh Lotey, accorded a warm welcome to the eminent guest. The ceremony commenced with a prayer to the Almighty as the students of PG Dept. of Music Vocal rendered a shabad in their soulful voices. Thereafter, the Chief Guest conferred degrees on 320 graduate and post-graduate students and Roll of Honour was awarded to 8 students who had done exceptionally well in the field of academics and sports. The Chief Guest gave away prizes to 220 meritorious students. Dr. B.S. Ghuman congratulated the degree holders and the prize winners and propelled them to enrich their country and humanity with the knowledge that they had acquired during their stay in the College. Principal, Dr. Inderjit Kaur read out the annual convocation report and while highlighting the attainments of the college, she said that the college had always endeavoured to impart value-based education laced with academic excellence. She further added that students should uphold the honour of their institution in all their future ventures. S. Ranjodh Singh and S. Gurcharan Singh Lotey also appreciated the students for their excellent performance and said that by dint of hard work, commitment and passion, the students can achieve greater heights in life. On this day, former Principals Mrs. Harmit Kaur, Principal Dr. Narinder Sandhu, accompanied by Principal Dr. Manjeet Ghuman, Principal Dr. Mukti Gill, Principal Dr. Kirandeep Kaur, Principal Dr. Kuldip Singh, Prof. Harpreet Dua and Dr. Nirmal Jaura also graced the occasion with their presence.
