Ludhian, November 12, 2016: On the sacred occasion of the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Ramgarhia Educational Council, with the co-operation of Sadh-Sangat, took out a Mahan Nagar Kirtan on Saturday. A host of Singh Sabhas, Sewa Societies, Women Satsang Sabhas, Sri Sukhmani Sahib Sewa Societies, religious and political organisations of the city, members of Youth Wing Scholars, advocates, doctors, nihang singhs, students of Ramgarhia Educational Institutions, Gurmat colleges and schools took part in it. The Nagar Kirtan was led by the Panj Pyaras (Five Beloveds) under the patronage of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The holy procession started from Ramgarhia Gurudwara Sahib and passing through Vishkarma Chowk, it covered Gill Road and its adjoining areas and came back to the Gurudwara. The routes were beautifully decorated by the Sangat and the provision of Langar was made at several places. In commemoration of the event, Akhand Path was initiated and its bhog will be performed at the Gurduwara Sahib on the 14th of Nov. ‘16. S Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, said that the Nagar Kirtan was organized with the aim to foster community spirit among people and enable them to establish communion with the Almighty. S Jagtar Singh, General Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council, said that such events provide people with an opportunity to gather in the name of God and spread the pious message of Gurbani among the masses. S. Ranjodh Singh, S. Jagtar Singh and the other members of the Council presented ‘Siropao’ to all the organizations in attendance and the Nagar Kirtan culminated successfully.
