RALLY for dengue awareness and prevention taken out

Ludhiana, July 22, 2013: Punjab Medical Rep Association took an immediate call on the civil surgeon and state government initiative to observe July month for awareness and prevention month for Dengue fever.

PMRA alongwith District Health Department organised a huge rally on Monday for the dengue awareness and prevention. In this rally members of PMRA distributed hand outs, pamphlets mentioning instruction on dengue fever prevention and educated masses by using various hoardings demonstrating methods and precautions to prevent this epidemic.

This rally commenced from Punjabi Bhavan and ended at Civil Surgeon’s Office. Around 500 members of PMRA participated in this rally.

Dr. Subhash Batta, Civil Surgeon, Ludhiana, was the chief guest and inaugurated the rally. He lauded the efforts of the association for organising such awareness rally for the benefit of the society.  Dr. K.S.Saini, Assistant Civil Surgeon, Ludhiana was the guest of honour on this occasion.

Manjit Saini, President, PMRA gave his assurance on behalf of PMRA 650 members to endorse and support  state governments programmes for social welfare and upliftment in future also. He further said that they have been participating in such activities in the past and will continue to support all social causes for betterment of society.

Mandeep Rawat, Secretary, PMRA announced associations agenda to work for the society  by participating in social projects such as environmental issues, de-addiction and education among masses for adopting a healthy life style.

Among others, Dr. Anil Verma, chief epidemiologist, Rajesh Kaul, Parveen Bhardwaj, Ashish Molri, Sushil Rana, Sarabjeet, Dinesh Goswami, Vikas Gumber, Vimal Kapoor, Sandeep Surjan, Japjot Singh, Manoj Gautam, GS Puri, Narayan Pandit, Manu Sharma, Shivam Sethi, Vikas Chauhan, Akash and Satpal Singh were present.
