Jalandhar, June 29, 2018: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Heritage and Autonomous institution, Jalandhar's caring and sharing for the society is inbuilt in the system. Cadet of 2Pb(G) BN NCC, Jalandhar attending training camp at KMV took out rally to commemorate International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. They carried posters and placards displaying the horrors caused by Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Around 200 cadets walked on the Vidyalaya Marg under observance of the camp staff to make the public aware of the social malpractices like Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. It was heartening to see how the public stood on sides to pay attention to what the girls in uniform had to say. Camp Commandant Col. Jasbir Singh himself flagged off the rally,. He observed that Drug Abuse specially in Punjab was eating into the social fabric and needed to be controlled. He was happy that girl cadets who were the future mothers was realizing the horrible outcomes of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
