Dharamshala, November 3, 2018: Dr.Rajiv Bhardwaj ,the senior BJP leader from Nurpur in Kangra district, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Kangra Cooperative Bank KCCB, on Saturday. The order of this appointment was issued today by Dr Ajay Sharma registrar co operative societies HP. The board of Directors of KCCB HQ Dharamshala was suspended by Registrar, Cooperative Society, on 6 April this year , on the basis of alleged irregularities in granting loans.
But the order on dissolution was withdrawn by the Registrar on July 19 due to some technical fault. Thereafter, the same day, the Registrar had again dissolved the board.
J C Sapiya than Chairman of KCCB , filed an objection in High court against this suspension. The HP High Court dismissed the aforesaid CWP on 25 October to clear the deck for the new appointments.
Beside Dr Rajiv Bhardwaj Registrar also appointed two government nominee members Ramesh Kumar of Una and Ranjit Rana of Kangra to KCCB board of Directors . This board will work till fresh elections of new members in next 6 months.
Dr. Bharadwaj is currently serving as the Vice President of the State BJP . On the government's decision to appoint Dr. Bharadwaj as the Chairman of Kangra Co-operative Bank, BJP workers of Kangra district specially of the Nurpur area expressed their gratitude to the party high command.
Dr. Bharadwaj , Ayurvedic doctor by profession, currently run his private clinic in Nurpur. Doctor Bhardwaj twice elected President of Yuva Morcha of the district , once the state BJP secretary and is currently serving the party as Vice President of the State BJP for the second time in a row. In the tenure of Dhumal government, Dr. Bharadwaj worked as the Vice President of Road Transport Corporation HRTC and now Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has been honoured him with the chairmanship of KCCB for his loyalty. Dr. Bharadwaj has expressed his gratitude to the State Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, State President Satpal Satti, Union Health Minister JP Nadda, former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar and former Chief Minister Prem kumar Dhumal.
