Rajguru Nagar Residents Fume as Streets not swept for the last 50 days

Ludhiana, December 30, 2016: Residents of Rajguru Nagar today met Ahbaab Singh Grewal AAP Ludhiana West candidate and complained about the pitiable conditions in which the residents of this so called posh locality are forced to live. Advocate, Chander Shekhar Mahendru , S.Ravinder Singh Walia, Col, Darshan Dhillon and other residents today showed Grewal the conditions in their area . The streets of the locality have not been swept for the past 50 days, the garbage has not been collected and despite various complaints to all concerned elected and government, representatives their complaints have gone unheeded. The vacant plots in the area have become garbage dumps and even though LIT collects non-construction charges they are not interested in clearing the plots and repeated complaints have fallen on deaf ears.

Grewal said that such apathy towards the genuine demands of the residents will not be allowed to continue once people form their own AAP government.

Grewal said that elected representatives and government officials are the servants of the people and should be accountable and responsive to the people's needs, Area residents along with Ahbaab Singh Grewal and AAP volunteers will celebrate the New Year by clearing the garbage and cleaning the streets of the area to highlight the problems and to spread awareness for the well being of the area residents.
