Ludhiana, September 8, 2019: A delegation of Ludhiana Architects visited stone industry and mines in Udaipur areas of Rajasthan to take latest know how of stone industry in India.

Ludhiana Architects were invited by Centre for Development of Stones (CDOS ) - an autonomous organisation promoted by Government of Rajasthan having head office in Jaipur with a state of the art stone testing laboratory, stone museum, stone park and a trade promotion centre .

CDOS is the apex stone industry organisation in India, set up by the Government of Rajasthan and Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Ltd (RIICO) with assistance from United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Government of India.

The aim of Government is to develop, promote and support Indian stone industry.

Architects visited more than 25 units and mines to see latest products to be used in floorings, elevations, sculptures interiors and furniture.

Prominent architects who visited include Sanjay Goel - Director Ludhiana Smart City Ltd , Yogesh Singla - Chairman IIALC , Rajan Tangri - Secretary IIALC , Harinder Boparai- Secretary IIALC , Niranjan Kumar - VC IIALC , Balbir Bagga - Treasurer IIALC , Bimaldeep Singh - Press Secretary IIALC , Ar Sumit Sharma , Ar Navdeep Singh , Ar Anmol Pupneja , Ar Suranshu Maharaj , Ar Rajinder Sandhu and Ar Lokesh Gupta .

Architects assured government officials that they shall promote Indian Stone Industry as much as possible as there is no guarantee of imported stones inspite of higher prices.
