Rai wins men's 50m pistol gold, Gurpal takes silver

Glasgow, July 28 (IANS) Jitu Rai and Gurpal Singh made it another momentous day for the Indian shooting contingent at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, winning the gold and silver, respectively, in the 50-metre men's pistol finals at the Barry Buddon Shooting Centre here Monday.

Rai set a Finals Games Record (FGR) collecting a total of 194.1 points.

With 187.2 points, Gurpal Singh took home the silver while Australia's Daniel Repacholi clinched bronze with 166.6 points.
