Punjab Secretariat Cricket Club Defeats HDFC team

Chandigarh, October 10, 2012: The Punjab Secretariat Cricket Club (PSCC) defeated HDFC Ltd by 28 runs during the ongoing CII – Tata Motors Regional Corporate Cricket Cup tournaments at Panjab University here.

Disclosing this here today a spokesman of Punjab Civil Secretariat informed that Punjab Secretariat, while batting first, put up a good total of 159 runs in their allotted 20 overs. HDFC were bowled out for 131 in 19.2 overs falling short by 28 runs.

Bhupinder Singh from PSCC bowled an excellent spell, took 3 wickets in his 4 overs yielding just 8 runs. All rounder Harvinder Raju score 45 runs in just 29 balls and got 3 wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs, whereas Ashwani Jangar of PSCC remained top scorer with 62 runs in 59 balls with six fours and a six. Gourav Sharma of HDFC took 2 wickets. Mohinder top scored (38) for HDFC Ltd but in vain.
