Jalandhar, October 12, 2015: DIPS Gilzian participated in Punjab School Games (2015-16) in Wushu. It was State level games held at Balachaur (Nawanshahar). Students participated under the guidance of coach Mr.Satvir Singh and DPE Mr.Jatinder Pal Singh.
Four students, SimranjeetSingh ,Mehakpreet Kaur, Jagdeep Kaur and Gurleen Kaur ,participated in this Wushu State level Championship. Students performed very well and they got 1 Gold medal and 2 Bronze medals.
Winners are as follows:
Simranjeet Singh got gold medal (U- 17) weight category -65kg.
Mehakpreet Kaur (U - 17) Weight category -36 and Jagdeep Kaur (U-19) weight category -44 got bronze medals.
Simranjeet Singh selected for National Level Competition which will held in Assam.
Principal Mam Ms.RekhaNayyar congratulated the winners and gave them the best wishes for their bright future.
