Chandigarh, November 13, 2014: The Punjab Government has initiated of process to recruit conductors, drivers and workshop workers in PUNBUS.
Disclosing this here today Punjab Transport Minister Ajit Singh Kohar said that to strengthen the existing transport system, 1250 conductors, 1250 drivers and 200 workshop workers would be recruited in the state.
The Minister said that the recruitment would be based on absolute merit and done in transparent manner and Punjab University has been engaged to conduct a written test for selection of the candidates.
Kohar further said that written test would be taken by the University on November 22, 2014 for the recruitment of workshop workers whereas written test would be taken for the recruitment of conductors/drivers on November 23, 2014. He said that all roll numbers have been dispatched for the test to the candidates and this has also been uploaded on www.punjabroadways.gov.in departmental website.
The Minister cautioned candidates that this recruitment would be based purely on merit and nobody should be attracted towards any fake elements. He also said that if any kind suspicion is observed during the written test the complaint could be registered with Managing Director, PUNBUS on telephone 0172-2704790 immediately.
