Ludhiana, September 26, 2016: Amritsar-based noted traders leader and state president of Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal (PPBM), Amrit Lal Jain (77) died of severe heart attack on Sunday.
Briefing further, the Mandal’s state secretary Mohinder Aggarwal told that Jain had gone to attend a religious function at Malerkotla where he felt uneasiness. Jain asked for a glass of water and while he was about to take that glass of water he died on the spot.
Jain was born in 1939. He had been holding the post of the PPBM state president for the last over 30 years. Since then he had been working actively for the cause of the traders.
Aggarwal said, “Jain used to work while creating cordial relations with the government and bringing unity among the traders’ community”, adding his death was a great loss for the traders’ community and the Mandal as well.
He said the deceased leader had always dreamt of working for the cause of the traders’ community, adding they would continue working for fulfilling dreams of the deceased leader.
Aggarwal told that cremation of Jain would be held in Amritsar on Monday.
