Punjab notifies one year service extension to 12 PPS

Chandigarh, June 26, 2014: The Punjab Government has notified one year extension in services of 12 PPS officers.      Finance Department also gave green signal for the extension with certain rules and regulations.  All officers were in the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). 8 out of 12 PPS officers opted for the second extension (on completion of 59 years of their age) and remaining four have opted for extension first time before the date of their superannuation i.e. up till completion of 58 years of age.
According to a official spokesman, those who have granted extension included; Amrik Singh, PAP, Darshan Singh, Firozpur, 76/F.D.R, Jarnail Singh and Karnail Singh, PAP, Nirmala Devi, Gurdaspur, 813/P.R., Surat Lal, PAP, Sukhdev Singh, Gurdaspur and Lakhwinder Singh, PAP, 438/P.R.
Similarly, Rajinder Singh, Bhajan Singh, Jagdish Raj and Gurpal Singh, all from PAP also granted one year extension after completion of 58 years of age.
