Chandigarh, November 15, 2013: Punjab Governance Reforms Directorate conducted a Three Day Specialised e-Governance Training Programme (STeP) on ‘e-Governance Project life Cycle’ (S2-eGLC) from 13th November to 15th November hotel Shivalk View. This workshop was organised in coordination with National Institute of SMART Government (NISG), Hyderabad.
Official Spokesperson of the department said that Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADC), Sub Divisional Magistrate ( SDM), Chief Medical Officers(CMO), District Development Panchayat Officer (DDPO), District food and supply controller (DFSC) , District Social Security Officer (DSSO) from District offices of State of Punjab who are expected to lead / play crucial role in e-Governance implementation of State Government participated in the workshop.
During the workshop the participants were equipped with skills and knowledge on e-Governance Project life Cycle (S2-eGLC) for State level e-Governance initiatives and e- Governance projects being implemented in the state under National e-Governance Plan (NeGP).
B.G Gupta faculty from NISG Hyderabad delivering lecture on implementation of this programme laid focus on importance and benefits of e-Governance Project life Cycle in various e-Governance projects. During the workshop on e-Governance Project life Cycle, participants were enriched with knowledge on Introduction to e-Governance & National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), e-Governance Project Development Lifecycle, Services Identification and Prioritization , Government Process Reengineering, Understanding e-Governance Applications, Understanding Business Models, Introduction to Public Private Partnerships (PPP), Data Digitization and Quality Management, Approach for managing people change in e-Governance projects, Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) and Request for Proposal (RFP) development.
The specialised Training Programme on e-Governance Project life Cycle was also conducted by B.G. Gupta and Anjan Banerjee from NISG.
On the concluding day B.G. Gupta and Anjan Banerjee from NISG gave away participation certificates to distinguished officers / officials of various District Offices of State of Punjab.
