Punjab News- CM mourns death of former MP Gurbinder Kaur Brar

Chandigarh, September 7, 2013: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Gurbinder Kaur Brar, the wife of former Punjab Chief Minister late Harcharan Singh Brar, who passed away at PGI, Chandigarh this morning after a prolonged illness.

In a condolence message, the Chief Minister recalled the services rendered by Brar, as Lok Sabha Member and the Leader of the Opposition in the state Vidhan Sabha. He described Brar as a multi faceted personality who worked for the empowerment of women besides emancipation of downtrodden and weaker sections of society.

Sharing his heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family members, friends and relatives, the Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give courage to bear this irreparable loss in this hour of grief.
