Chandigarh, October 20, 2015: The Punjab Personnel department today clarified that any government employee who opts to change his cadre from his district to another district of his/her spouse after marriage, the employee giving the option of change of cadre would be placed at the bottom of the seniority in the new cadre. It may be mentioned that after 4th pay commission in 1998 employees were given one time option to change their cadre at the place of posting of their spouse and this clarification has been issued in respect of seniority in the new cadre.

Chain Linking Of Birs Put On Fast Track: Bhagat Chunni Lal
Chandigarh, October 20, 2015: The Punjab Government has put the process of chain linking of birs on fast track to save the crop of State’s Farmer’s. Disclosing this forest Minister Punjab Shri Chunni lal Bhagat said that wild animals often stray into the fields of the farmers damaging the crops due to which the farmers had to face huge amount of financial loss. “To protect crop of state farmer, the Punjab Government has initiated chain linking of Birs Moti bagh, Gurdialpura, Bhadso, Bhunarherri, Dusanjh, Sanour and Kartarpur under Rashtaria krishi vikas yojna (RKVY) scheme ” Mr. Bhagat Said.

Punjab Reconstitutes The Micro And Small Enterprises Facilitation Council
Chandigarh, October 20: The Punjab Government has reconstituted the Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council, under Clause 21 of the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 the Government of India.
An official spokesman of the Punjab Government said that Director of Industries & Commerce Chairperson would be the member of Council. Similarly, Managing Director, Punjab State Industry Development Corporation or his representative member, Mr. Jatinder Mittal from Jatindera Udyog,Ludhiana, Mr. Rajan Gupta from Kohinoor Group of Industries,Jalandhar would be members of Council. He said that Joint Director (Commerce) would be the Member Secretary of the Council.
Adding more he said that the Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council will meet as often required for speedy settlement of disputes concerning realization of interest on delayed payments to Micro and Small Enterprises.

Chandigarh, October 20: The Punjab Government has appointed Mr. Amit Dhaka, IAS, Managing Director of Punjab Financial Corporation as Director on board of Directors of Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation Limited, Chandigarh in place of Mr. S.S. Bains, IAS, since transferred.

Pserc Extends Date For Submission Of Applications For The Post Of Chairperson And Member
Chandigarh, October 20, 2015: The Punjab Government had invited applications from interested eligible persons for the posts of Chairperson and member in the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission, Chandigarh. The last date of submission of the applications for the posts was 28 October 2015 up to 5pm that has been extended to 9th November 2015 up to 5 pm by the PSERC. An official spokesman of the Government said that an applicant for the post of the Chairman should be working or should have worked on a post with pay scale equal to or higher the Financial Commissioner/Principal Secretary to Government, or as Director of any State Utility/Central Power Sector Undertaking. He further said that an applicant for the post of Member should be a graduate and should be working or should have worked on the post with pa/scale equal to higher than that of Joint Secretary to Government of India /Chief Engineer. Punjab Cautions All Health Institutions Regarding Use Of Testing Kits Of Dengue
Chandigarh, October 20, 2015: The Punjab Government has cautioned all health institutions and other medical and para-medical staff of the Government as private hospitals and laboratories in the State of Punjab regarding the use of Rapid Diagnostic Kits (RDKs) for testing of dengue.
An official spokesman of the Punjab Government said National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (Directorate General of Health Services), has intimated that the use of RDKs for the confirmation of dengue is not recommended by the NVBDCP due to its low sensitivity and specify. He further said that NVBDCD has recommended ELISA based NS 1 (for first five days of illness) and 1 gM (after 5 days of illness) tests for the confirmation of dengue. He said that regulations and instructions shall come into force at once and shall remain valid till further orders.
