Punjab News- Badal pays rich tributes to Baba Mitha Singh

Talwandi Saboo (Bathinda), September 10, 2013: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today along with Member Parliament from Bathinda Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Information & Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia paid rich tributes to Baba Mitha Singh, the great saint who had worked relentlessly for the welfare of the society and the Khalsa Panth throughout his life. 

Addressing a religious congregation in the memory of revered religious leader Sant Baba Mitha Singh, the Chief Minister lauded Baba Mitha Singh enormous role in redeeming the society from the pangs of this materialistic world, thereby preaching the people to follow the path of spirituality. 

Badal said that the real tribute to Baba ji would be to eradicate the social evils like Dorry, Female feticide and above all the Drug addiction by taking a pledge to create a harmonious and peace loving atmosphere free from such maladies.

Paying homage to Baba Mitha Singh, Member Parliament from Bathinda Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that Baba ji was a great pious and religious soul, who played a pro-active role in bringing peace, communal harmony and brotherhood through the religious discourses and holly sermons, besides ensuring overall development of the region on one hand, prosperity & welfare of the people on the other. She asked the people to avow through stamping out the evil of female feticide which was a dark blot on the face of the humanity.

Paying glowing tributes to Baba Mitha Singh, Information & Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia said Baba ji spread the teachings of great Sikh Gurus in every part of the state especially in the Malwa region. He said the presence of thousands of his devotees was the testimony of their unbounded love and affection showered upon Baba Mitha Singh.

Majithia asked the people to sincerely follow the footsteps of Baba Mitha Singh to serve the mankind on one hand and strengthen the bonds of love, amity and harmony in the society. He also called upon the people to play an active role to make Punjab clean, green and pollution free to fulfill the dreams of Baba Ji, the great lover of Mother Nature.
