Punjab issues directions for maintaining roster registers

Chandigarh, October 2, 2012: The Punjab Government has asked its all departments to maintain the roster registers timely to provide promotions to the employees belongs to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes.

An official spokesman said that the Welfare Department has directed all the departments to prepare and update roster registers timely so the reservation could be implemented in true spirit. He said that the necessary directions in this regard have been issued to all heads of departments, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, District and Session Judges, Sub Divisional Officers and Registrar Punjab and Haryana High Court.
