Chandigarh, July 29, 2019: The Punjab and Haryana High Court today convened a Full Court Reference to condole the sad demise of noted jurist and legal luminary Justice B.K.Roy former Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, who left for heavenly abode on 20 June, 2019.
All the judges of High Court took part in this full court reference.
While sharing the grief with the family of late Chief Justice B.K. Roy, Chief justice of Punjab & Haryana High Court Justice Krishna Murari said that Justice Roy was a symbol of simplicity, dedication and commitment and was also known for his high professional calibre. He described the sad demise of Justice Roy as a huge loss to the legal fraternity as he was a great source of inspiration for the young professionals of the legal field.
The other dignitaries, who paid tributes to the departed soul included Satya Pal Jain, Additional Solicitor General of India, Atul Nanda, Advocate General, Punjab, Baldev Raj Mahajan, Advocate General, Haryana, Harpreet Singh Brar, Chairman, Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The retired judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court and members of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana and Bar Association of High Court were also present in condolence meeting.
