PUNJAB GOVT GIVES RS 5 LAKH AS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO VETERAN ACTOR SATISH KAUL

Ludhiana: The Capt Amarinder Singh-led Punjab government has provided Rs 5 lakh as financial assistance to ailing veteran actor Mr Satish Kaul. This assistance was provided to the actor by SDM Mr Sagar Setia by visiting the actor’s house on January 12, 2019. He was also accompanied by Tehsildar Ludhiana (Central) Kanwar Narinder Singh, District Red Cross Society secretary Mr Aeri, besides others.
It is pertinent to mention that after reading news about the health of Mr Satish Kaul from various media sources, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh had taken notice of this and had directed Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal to send a detailed report about the needs and requirements of the veteran actor to his office immediately.
Few days back, Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana had interacted with Mr Satish Kaul by visiting his house and had sought details of his needs and requirements. SDM (West) Mr Sagar Setia informed that Mr Kaul had asked the Deputy Commissioner to help him because for the last several years, he is living a life in penury. Mr Kaul had demanded that the pension that he was getting from Punjabi University Patiala should be restarted, he should be provided with free medicines and treatment, a house to live should be provided and an attendant boy to help him should also be provided to him. The SDM informed that a report regarding the same has already been sent to the state government, which is under process.
After receiving the financial aid, Mr Satish Kaul specially thanked Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and Punjab government for helping him in this hour of need.
