PUNJAB GOVERNOR ATTENDS THREE DUSSEHRA FESTIVALS IN CHANDIGARH

BRITISH DEPUTY HIGH COMMISSIONER ALSO ATTENDED DUSSEHRA FESTIVAL IN CHANDIGARH
Chandigarh, October 11, 2016: Punjab Governor and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Sh. VP Singh Badnore today attended three Dussehra celebrations in Chandigarh and exchanged Dussehra Greetings with people and organisers.
Shri Badnore first went to sector 17 to participate in Dussehra celebrations organised by Shri Ramleela Committee Chandigarh, where he along with Mrs Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament, performed tilak ceremony on Prabhu Ram and Laxman. Mr. David Lelliott OBE, British Deputy High Commissioner along with his wife and daughters also graced the occasion.
After that, the Governor went to sector 46 to attend Dussehra festival and paid floral tributes on the photographs of martyrs displayed in the ground organised by Shri Sanatan Dharma Dussehra Committee.
Later on, Shri Badnore along with his family members attended Dussehra Celebrations at Sector 48 and gave fire to the statue of Ravana and exchanged greetings with the people in a dussehra function organised by Shri Tiripati Bala Ji Social organisation and dussehra Samiti.
Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included Mr. Sanjay Tandon, BJP President, Dr. Ravi Gupta, Head of Ortho Department, GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh.
