Chandigarh/Ludhiana, August 12, 2014: Punjab Government has decided to facelift the overall condition of Juvenile Homes and Blind Children Schools. All vacant posts and adequate number of Police personal would be provided to the Juvenile homes and structural development would be done in these institutions. Surjeet Kumar Jayani Health & Family Welfare, Social Security and Women & Child Welfare Development Minister, Punjab said this after presiding over meeting of senior officers of the department. Earlier in that Jayani conducted a surprise check at the Juvenile Home and Blind Children School at Ludhiana and called an urgent meeting at Chandigarh to discuss the needful to be done for the betterment of these institutions.
In the meeting Jayani instructed the officials to make a blue print of all the basic facilities and structural development of Juvenile Homes and ordered to submit this report to him within a week. He also instructed to immediately start a process to fill the permanent post of the In-charge of Ludhiana juvenile Home and also asked the officials to take up the matter to provide adequate number of police personal at the Juvenile homes with the concerned department.
Jayani directed the officials to start a process for renovation, paint and cleanliness of Juvenile Homes and Blind Children schools so that this matter could be taken up with Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to allocate additional funds for this purpose at the earliest. Jayani also announced to upgrade the studio and printing press of Blind Children School of Ludhiana and asked the officials to immediately start process for this work.
