Star cast of upcoming Punjabi film `Kaum De Heere' in Ludhiana on Sunday.

Ludhiana, August 17, 2014: The production house Sai Cine Productions (Makers of Naughty Jatts) is releasing a powerful historical drama Kaum De Heere – the diamonds of community - a biographical account of the true incidents of 1984 on August 22.
Speaking at the media interaction here today, along with the star cast, producer Satish Katyal said that a first amongst the genre of cinema highlighting the pain of 1984 Sikh genocide, the Kaum De Heere is based on biographical accounts of Satwant Singh and Beant Singh.
“Based on true events, as per the findings of Justice Thakkar Commission, the movie does not aim at creating any controversy. Our only motive is to tell the audience the actual chain of events. We can't change history, but we can learn lessons from it for a safer future,” said Katyal.
Satish Katyal was flanked by Punjabi lyricist and singer-turned-actor Raj Kakra, who plays role of Beant Singh in the movie, renowned model turned actor Sukhdeep Sukh who plays role of Satwant Singh, Sardar Sohi and Isha Sharma.
Katyal added that movie is an outcome of thorough research of legal records, published books and other material available in public domain. There is nothing fictitious in it,” he added.
Katyal and Sandeep Bhalla, Pardeep Bansal and Raman Aggarwal have produced Kaum De Heere whose music has already been released with songs its songs Barood, Do Bol, Kaafila, Gunahgar has already made wave in the Punjabi music industry.
The director, story, screenplay and dialogue writer of the Kaum De Heere is Ravinder Ravi who is best known for Tere Ishq Nachaya and Aappan Pher Milange. Shivtar Shiv has lent cinematography, while Beat Minister has crafted its music. Actor Raj Kakra has written lyrics of the songs. Singers Sukshinder Shinda, Kamaal Khan, Krishna Beura, Shipra Goyal, Shehnaaz Akhtar, Harpreet Singh and Raj Kakra have let voices to the music. Jot and Bunty have choreographed the songs.
