Moga, September 11, 2016: A large number of the AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) workers and leaders have turned at Bagha Purana in the Moga district on Sunday, to listen to the speech of the party’s national convener and Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal.
Kejriwal is to address the massive rally at Bagha Purana on the last day of his four-day tour to Punjab. He is supposed to release the party’s manifesto for the farmers in for the forthcoming assembly elections to Punjab Vidhan Sabha. It may be mentioned here that Kejriwal did a lot of homework for finalising points to be mentioned in the manifesto for the farmers. This is why he had even met internationally acclaimed agriculture economist SS Johl at his residence in Gurdev Nagar, Ludhiana during his visit to Punjab. The farmers of the state are now anxiously looking at Kejriwal as to what he was about to include in the party’s manifesto for them.
Meanwhile, tight security arrangements have been made at the venue of the Bagha Purana rally today. A farmer on condition of anonymity told at the rally that the ruling SAD-BJP government had given a lot to them, including free power for the agriculture purpose. “Let us see what does Kejriwal announces for them today”, he said.
According to another information, some Congress workers staged protest against Kejriwal on Ludhiana-Moga road. The protesters were holding black flags in their hands as a mark of the protest. They were shouting slogans against both the AAP and Kejriwal.
