Chandigarh, August 25, 2014: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Senior Akali Leader Bhagwan Dass Juneja's son Gurpal Juneja, who passed away on Sunday late night due to severe cardiac arrest. He was 43 and survived by his wife and a son.
In a condolence message, Badal prayed to the Almighty to grant strength to the bereaved family members, relatives and friends to bear this huge loss and eternal peace to the departed soul.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and Revenue & Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia also mourned the passing away of Gurpal Juneja and shared their heartfelt condolences with the grief-stricken members of the family.
It may be recalled that Gurpal Juneja, the eldest among the four brothers, was cremated at Patiala this morning amidst thousands of mourners from different walks of life, who gave a tearful adieu to the departed soul. Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, Revenue & Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia and School Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema also attended the cremation.
